·         In the apostolic church, some leaders were unwilling to work with other groups, causing strife and division rather than unity in the Body of Christ

·        On the other hand, the modern church faces challenges such as busyness and distraction, which pull people away from being present with God and one another

·        To maintain purity and unity in the church today, Christian leaders need to prioritize the following:

·        Humility and Collaboration: Leaders should be willing to work with other groups and embrace humility, putting the interests of the church above their own

·        Discipleship and Spiritual Formation: Emphasizing the cultivation of habits and liturgies that create space for God's presence to be felt and known, leading people to awe, wonder, and worship

·        Focus on Core Practices: Rediscovering the beauty of simplicity and focusing on the core practices and historic sacraments of the church, avoiding unnecessary complexity

·        Transparency and Accountability: Fostering an environment of transparency and accountability to maintain purity and trust within the church

·        To maintain holiness and unity in the church, Christian leaders must focus on the basic teachings of the Bible and create a welcoming environment for all members. They should be open to new ideas and be ready to adapt to changing times while staying true to their faith. As the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, "Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2,)Niv
